New trackwork
is required for transit systems and mainline use on Class I railroads.
For all other applications, relay material can be installed without
sacrificing safety or durability.
Reconditioned
trackwork is created from surplus material that was originally
manufactured according to AREA or Class I railroad specifications.
Our suppliers combine these basic elements with new parts to
produce the finest re-manufactured trackwork that is available
today.
The basic
building block for all trackwork is the frog which can be manufactured
out of rail, manganese, or a combination of the two.
Split
switches are furnished with the necessary plates, braces, heel
blocks, and rods to meet industrial, AREA, or special specifications.
Switch
point accessories consist of conventional or long handled switch
stands, switch point protectors, switch point guards, connecting
rods, switch locks,and special plates.
