The only grade crossing that offers the full line of rubber, concrete and concrete/rubber grade crossing surface designs. Illustrated below are virgin rubber grade crossing systems.

Southeast Railroad Supply Company is the only grade crossing distributor who offers a full line of rubber, concrete and concrete/rubber grade crossing designs. Illustrated here are our concrete and concrete/rubber grade crossing systems, which can be designed for tangent or curved, lagged or non-lagged applications. All concrete and concrete/rubber panels incorporate steel frames and steel reinforcement.

 Embedded Concrete-Rubber

Incorporates virgin rubber flangeway fillers cast directly into steel-framed concrete panels. Eliminates handling separate concrete and rubber components during installation. Rubber flangeway filler provides electrical insulation and controls surface water runoff.

 Improved-Concrete

Virgin rubber panels cushion load, control surface water and provide electrical insulation. Broom-finished panels provide high friction for excellent traction.

 TraCast

Precast concrete modules eliminates the use of ties and ballast. Incorporates elastic fasteners used to secure the rail to the base of the rail troughs. Widely used for industrial and transit applications.

 

 Heavy Duty

The only full-depth virgin rubber grade crossing surface available. Designed to withstand the repeated punishment of high traffic levels. Durability, longlife and low maintenance requirements make it ideal for most applications.

 

 Steel Reinforced

Steel-reinforced, virgin rubber is excellent for heavy concentrated loads such as lift trucks. Recommended for low MGT, heavy truck use, such as intermodal yards and private industry. Installed on transverse or longitudinal, pressure-treated, oak shims (transverse shims shown).

 

 RailGuard™ VRA

Virgin rubber RailGuard™ is designed to be used in conjunction with asphalt or concrete. Protects the track structure by absorbing traffic impact loads, provides a positive flangeway which controls surface water runoff, and prevents breakup of asphalt at the rail interface.

IC/VRA crossing system incorporates Improved Concrete (IC) gauge panels and VRA RailGuard field panels.
The Improved-Concrete system (gauge only) incorporates rubber RailGuard panels with precast concrete panels. The steel-framed, steel-reinforced concrete panels are designed to handle heavy highway traffic, as well as heavy truck traffic. The virgin rubber RailGuard panels cushion load, control surface water, and provide electrical insulation. The broom finished surface provides high friction for excellent traction.
The VRA RailGuard™ (used in the field area) is made from 100% virgin rubber. The VRA design has several benefits over other rail seal products. The panels are easy to handle and install. Greater surface area provides better cushioning to the rail and is self-supporting. The IC/VRA system is ideal for virtually any traffic situation and can be used with 8'6" ties.

 Embedded Concrete-Rubber (ECR)/VRA RailGuard

ECR/VRA crossing system incorporates Embedded Concrete-Rubber (ECR) gauge panels and VRA RailGuard field panels.
ECR (used in the gauge area) is the latest generation of single-component, concrete-rubber design. ECR is designed with the rubber flange seal molded into the face of the concrete panels. this design is the fastest and easiest concrete crossing system to install becuase of its unique integrated concrete-rubber design.
The VRA RailGuard™ (used in the field area) is made from 100% virgin rubber. The VRA design has several benefits over other rail seal producs. The panels are easy to handle and install. Greater surface area provides better cushioning to the rail and is self-supporting.
The ECR/VRA system is ideal for virtually any traffic situation and can be used with 8'6" ties.
